How can I stop emails going into my spam folder?

To prevent you receiving unwanted spam email, some Internet Service Providers (ISP's) block messages from senders whose email addresses are not in the recipient's Address Book or on their Safe Senders List.

To ensure your messages reach you in the future you must add email addresses or domains to your Address Book or Safe Senders List. We have provided instructions for the most commonly used ISP' and email clients:

Yahoo
• Open the email
• Click the “add to address book” on the right, next to sender’s name
• Verify the details
• Click “Add to Address Book”

Hotmail
• Once signed in, select the "Contacts" tab.
• Click on "Safe List"
• Type an email address or domain in the "type an address or domain name:" box

AOL
• Click on "Address Book" from the "Mail Options" dropdown box
• Click on the "Add" icon
• Type an email address or domain into the "Screen Name" box and click "Save"

MSN
• Click on "Settings: E-mail | Junk e-mail at the bottom left hand of your Inbox
• Click on the link "Junk e-mail Guard"
• Click on "Safe List"
• Type an email address into the box and click "Add"

GMail
• From your Gmail inbox, open the email you have received
• Click on "More Options"
• Click on "Add sender to contacts"

Outlook 2007
• From Outlook open the email you have received
• In the top menu click on ‘Safe Lists’
• Add sender or domain to safe list
Or
• If a mail has already gone into your Junk email folder
• Open Junk email folder
• Open email
• Add to safe list as above or
• Click on ‘not junk’ and select ‘always trust email from ..’
• This moves the email to your inbox and adds to safe senders list

Do’s and Don’ts of effective email marketing

Research shows that email marketing is delivering a return on investment (ROI), second only to search marketing. The high ROI can be attributed to the low cost associated with sending out emails; the targeted messages to match target audience needs, and the measurability to easily see what works and what doesn’t.
Here are some key principals of effective email marketing. Implementing these Do’s and Don’ts will help separate your email from the crowd to provide an even better ROI.

Ansars email marketing blog

Welcome to AnsarsMail Email marketing at its best

Email marketing is renowned as a very cost effective method of communications. As we all know, communications is the heart beat of marketing. Communicating your brand or your identity, communicating your key messages, your proposition your benefits, all to your target audience on a regular basis, pays dividends. In the current climate, why would you go to the expense of a direct mail campaign – design and print can be very expensive let alone the postage costs, and the response rates are not as good.

Email is mainstream

Everyone has it, and many have more than one email address. I have a work email, a personal email, a Yahoo, Google and Hotmail email accounts. Next to a telephone number and your name, your email address is the next most important item on your business card.
Email Marketing does not break the bank.

Email is very cost effective; it costs nothing to send an email and costs relatively little amounts to be able to send out bulk communications to many people at once. The cost is in the development of the campaign or newsletter – not in the delivery.

Response rates that go through the roof

If you achieved a response rate of over 5% using traditional direct mail, you would have been doing well. Email marketing is about clicks and driving traffic to sites, so the mechanism to complete a response (a click) is made easier by the technology – even so, 15% – 20% response rates are not uncommon from email marketing campaigns.

Monitor & review

Digital marketing is more effective because you can measure almost all activity. Email marketing is no exception. By knowing who clicks on a specific link, the customer is self qualifying themselves and telling you exactly what they are interested in.
So why not communicate using a medium that everyone has, that is low cost and delivers better results that you can measure.

So, why have we launched AnsarMail?

The market out there for email marketing solutions is very crowded. Everywhere you turn, there are email marketing solutions. Normally it makes little sense to compete in a crowded market. I disagree. With a saturated market comes confusion, and confusion leads to opportunity.
Which solution should I go for?

You could spend hours if not days researching and evaluating various solutions that all profess to deliver similar services. This is either time that most business people don’t have, or could be better spent elsewhere in the business.
I believe that word of mouth and recommendation is one of the most important keys to success in today’s business world. Recommendations only happen when the product or service is good, great or exceptional.

This is why we have introduced AnsarsMail – it is has a level of functionality that is normally only available in top corporate email marketing solutions, but at a pricing level that most businesses will be able to afford.

Different businesses have different needs

We recognise that businesses have different needs; those that want to manage everything themselves from day one; those that need a push start into the magical world of email marketing; and finally, those that just want to outsource to someone else to do it all for them.
AnsarsMail provides a range of services to meet all these needs underpinned by great help and support along the way.

Free Trial

If you don’t believe me when I say that AnsarsMail is feature rich to deliver great and effective email campaigns, that it is easy to use, and that it provides great reporting and measurements features, then see for yourself with our Free Trial.
Email marketing should be an essential tool in the armoury of any business. AnsarsMail can help you deliver great email marketing campaigns and ensure that you communicate effectively with your prospects, customers, partners and suppliers.
We will be adding to this blog on a regular basis with great hints and tips for effective email marketing , so, make sure you come back or syndicate this blog.
